12. How to Optimize Filtering Elements in Dark Mode

Darklup has an option for filtering elements. You can easily exclude specific elements such as class, section, div, id, etc. Dark mode will not appear on those sections of your website.

To use this function go to the following setting – Darklup Dashboard > Filter Elements > Exclude Element.

Now input a specific class or section of your website to ignore dark mode.

12.1 How to Add Overlay to All Background Images #

Background image overlay option is essential to make your website’s images visually appealing in dark mode.

For example, this is the current image of our website in a dark mode setting.

Now enable background image overlay. Go to the following settings – Darklup Dashboard > Filter Elements > Add Overlay to all Background Images.

Now turn on this function. It will automatically apply a background overlay on all the images on your website.

As you can see image text is now visible after turning on the background image overlay option.

However, you can also disable the image overlay option for the specific section of the WordPress website. 
Go to the following settings – Darklup Dashboard > Filter Elements > Exclude Background Image Overlay.
